Pavel,
This is not one of those images that causes me to say, âWhat is that?â Even without the title, I would have recognized it. What is in focus is sharp, and I assume you werenât trying to get everything in focus. The color is strange â is the yellow tint due to the available light, the white balance setting, or post-processing? A crop from just the reflector part would be a good entry in the current Assignment.
Cheers,
Gary

Hey Gary, When I posted this photo, I really liked it. Now it looks just like a snapshot, which is what it is. I do like the colour - sorry (white balance adjustment with a little tone added). I am not sure I agree with you about the crop either. I kind of like the diagonal feel to it, running from upper left to lower right. I agree with the conclusion you made though. If I read between the lines, you are saying it is not very intersting and it is a rather common photo - I agree. I like Matthews reflections a lot more and I really love your birds. Pavel
PS - did you notice the jaggies along the diagonals - I assume that this is due to the low res photo. What do you think - I should check the RAW.

Hi, Pavel!
In this case, I do agree with Gary. A crop including only the shiny, reflecting part on the left would make a pretty good photo even better (and yes, I believe more interesting/mysterious). I think the gold tone is quite attractive.
The possibilities are endless.
Regards,.....Dennis

Thanks Dennis. I may consider pushing the corner into sold black. Bigger problem is the smudge on the reflector itself, which resulted in the unsharp photo in lower right. Not pretty. I liked this photo initially, but now I do not and I am not sure that this photo is worth all that trouble. I was just looking for anything to take photo of, so that I check the lens out. Pavel
