This is one of a pair of Australian Rainbow Lorikeets that I can hand feed, they have such glorious colours! Smile Taken with my 100mm, not the macro, I am getting better results with this lens than my 60mm macro.
C & C welcome as always.

You are so lucky Pat, with so beautiful visitors in your garden...
They are so beautiful, and they have beautiful colors, indeed.

The only place I have seen them here in Germany is in Marlow a bird sanctuary. It is about 2.30 hours by car.

I think you have very nice detail in your picture Pat.. Smile

Beautiful bird to be able to hand feed it. When I was a child, an aunt of mine bred budgies, and I remember opening my mouth for them to pick bits of biscuit from my teeth. And being careful not to bite their little heads off.:o

Thanks for your comments, also have Eastern Rosellas', galahs and top knot pidgeons as regular visitors. Am finding the Eastern Rosella elusive and hard to photograph. Funny watching their pecking order, #1 Galahs #2 Rainbow Lorikeet #3 Eastern Rosella and last but not least the top knot pidgeons. :/
