Adobe Photoshop CS3
#1

Guess what? Adobe will be launching the new version of their Photoshop software, CS3 (Creative Suite 3), on March 27th.

Adobe has made the beta version available for some time now, and Macworld has even given us a first look.

What features are you looking forward to? What features do you think are lacking with CS2, and (hopefully) are going to be addressed in the next release?

Hey, looks like photoshop CS3 will be coming in 2 flavours - normal and extended!

"Photoshop CS3 Extended includes everything in Photoshop CS3 plus a new set of capabilities for integration of 3-D and motion graphics, image measurement and analysis. Photoshop CS3 Extended also simplifies the workflow for professionals in architecture, engineering, medical and science."

I don't know, it's already somewhat bulky for amateur users, why don't they launch new programs for different funktions like the 3D stuff or architechtur specific functionality? Then PS itself could be more affordable and everyone could upgrade according to their specific needs. just thinking.....

Yeah I wouldn't think the extended version would be intended for normal everyday photographers...

By the way, if you're an IT geek, this is interesting reading about the culture Adobe used when they developed CS3: Big Grin

Some nice UI improvements, but also quite impressive - performance improvements when handling large images....

Im all over cs3, iv been watching the Lynda.com One on One cs3.

For me the biggest improvement is the Interface, i just love it. Im also very impressed with camera raw 4.0 and bridge.

But also new updated tools like curves, and the new bw tool makes it even nicer.

Iv been using cs3 beta exlusively last couple of days, and i cant imagine going back to cs2.
