Along my morning walk
#1

During my morning walk to get some exercise and fresh air, I stopped occassionally to take some photos with my new Canon S90 point and shoot, using RAW capture. I was just trying out some techniques. It's great to carry around a capable camera that weighs only a few ounces.

I was attracted to the glowing head of this weed. I scrambled down an embankment into position, careful not to fall into the water filled ditch below.

I call this one 'Backside".

Neat shot. A little noisy. I think a crop of the car and the left could improve it.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

I'd guess the "noise" that Don refers to might be some pp along the lines of overlaying/multiplying the dark tones? I like the resultant grittiness. Some compression/equalising of dynamic range too?(I also like)
