Best Cheap Lens
#1

What the best cheap lens you’ve ever bought and why? Mine is the Nikon 70-210mm f/4-5.6 AF. Got it for less than US$200 maybe 8 years ago. It’s a push and pull lens, great optics, (a little noisy though) but does a good job with sharpness at maximum magnification. Not using it anymore though but I miss it. Used it perhaps half of the time. What's yours?

I bought the nikkor 55-200mm VR for my DX bodys, and this lense is quite impressive.
I bought it new in Amazon india for about 70£ and the quality for the price is just massive, and in the DX bodys has the same range as a 300mm with vibration reduction. Thumbs up for real!

Yashica (fits my Contax) f1.7 35mm prime in box with all docs. Bought for $5 US at a yard sale. I seldom use that kit these days, but it was a deal!

Wow! Wish I could score a lens at that price at a yard sale Smile

Tokina 28-70mm f/3.5-4.5 macro. A very handy lens.
I also have a Quantaray 70-300mm f/4-5.6 macro. These were very cheap--under $50 on E-Bay.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/
