Bleak Road

Another shot near the peak of the Haleakala volcano. No HDR, no color retouching - just a very bleak and desolate landscape, very high up, and illuminated by full sunlight...

Wow, it looks like you're actually above the clouds, which is trippy.

I do like the play of lines in the road, and the way it's partially blocked in the foreground. It gives a sense of traveling.

Yes - we were well above the clouds. This photo is taken from much higher up looking down at the road and the clouds - a very bizarre perspective.

Very nicely done, Toad. I admire this one a lot because of the hard contrast (light and color). Beautiful detail. Like a lot the yellow line in the road.

This kind of pictures are still very difficult to me, since I don't know well how to meter the light.
