Its a nice technique for these. I think #1 and #3 would benefit from a slight crop to remove a little blank space and move the main subject away from the center of the photo.

Agree with Toad's suggestion about the crop...
I imagine #1 as a design for a fabric...
I am not so sure about #2 because of the dark spots... and the interest I find is only in the left bottom corner. Even there, there is a twig that would take away the attention from the leaves.

Very interesting. I love those colours, and Irma hit the nail on the head when she said it looks like a fabric pattern. It seems to work best with #1 and #3 for me.
