Brokenborough field
#1

I found this a highly emotional place. Both with the 16-35mm at wideish aperture, handheld.

I like very much your picture of the field Zig. Very nice detail and treatment. I was also in the fields today....
Lovely composition in your flower picture too.

I like the second version best. It looks post impressionist.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

Zig, like so many of your landscapes, I love the dreamlike timeless quality of these. Very well done!

I love the first one, looks surreal.
Honestly, the color version of the field reminds me of the day I had condensation in my lense... so I prefer the bw.

Zig, I was going to ask what made this an emotional place for you, but your third photo answers my question. That's definitely one to print large and frame.

I cannot allow myself to weep on these boards Matt..the past sorta met the present and I got shredded in the crossfire.
Yes, "cross-fire" most definitely.

Ah yes...your third shot - the second try at #1 - come into the light - the blown out highlight accentuates the rest of the pastoral scene - but not necessarily in a pastoral sense. Lay down in the furrows and let the rush pass. Apologies for disjointed comments - but strong recollections of different days conjured up by this photo. Disturbing but brilliant.
