Hi

Im looking to get a Macro Lens for my camera and stumbled over these screw on attachments, can anyone shed some light if they are worth purchasing?

I think we had some people here using closeup filters:

In general - you can't get the same level of quality from these screw-on attachments as from real macro lens. I went with the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens (about $460 at B&H) - excellent purchase !
