Chili & Carlic
#1

My vacation started today, so i decided to stay up late. Big Grin

Trying out 2 new softboxes, Elinchrom Deep octa 100cm and Elinchrom 130x50 strip softbox.

Setup

Bg:Skylite panel (black fabric)
Table:Ironboard with black nylon fabric with a glas sheet on it.

Key:Camera right Deep octa with deflector
Fill:Above 130x50 cm strip sb
BG:honeycom grid with a red gel.

Im not sure i like the reflections, probebly would look alot better with a thick piece of wood instead of the black nylon/glas sheet.

PP:resized,color correction/tweaks,vignette.

C&C welcome as always.

Paul, great work with the lighting as always. I'm just thinking, though, that the ghili peppers look underexposed. The Calic gloves are a nice matte, and don't pick up the black reflection from the glass surface the way the red ghili peppers do. Perhaps just a touch of light from the front to fill a little of the shadows?

Thanx Matthew. Yes a little fill wouldnt hurt to much, also the pp vignette has made the edge of the chili a little darker (intentional) Will have another go without the glas.

Thanx for taking the time.

A little fill - as Matt said Paul - feels a little dark.

Canon stuff.
