#1

I like the contrast of yellow and blue.

I love the contrast... big bright yellow flower vs tiny blue ones.

To be honest I find the reflected flash light a little distracting though... I suppose there's not much you can do about that though...

Probably could clone out the reflected flash ?

Is that reflected flash or white in flower?

I think a little more contrast or underexposure or darkening to make the background darker would help.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

These shots were taken with flash indeed, but the flare on the flower is sunshine reflection, I think. The flower is sort of oily and shiny, and the flare was there in reality. I know it's hard to believe but this was exactly what the scene looked like. Smile

Anyway this is not really my favorite flower, I just thought the contrast with yellow and blue would be nice. Otherwise I think this flower is a bit boring, showing no color shades at all. It's just plain yellow.
