#2 is delightful - a wonderful spot and composition. The couple seems a bit lost in #1 though.

Both pictures are beautiful Chris. I also thought the same as Toad about #1 they look a bit lost.
#2 I like it a lot, but I see also a lot of things that take my attention apart from the couple. I imagine this picture with a selective darkening kind of light vignetting to guide a bit the attention of the viewer.
