I respect your ability as a photographer, but this photo does nothing for me. Specifically, the melting snow, crumbled parking lot, muddy dog park detracts what might have been an O.K., shot, i.e., the woods and body of water in the background are fine. Is there something I missed ?

I can see a story in the photograph and like the way the trees line the top of the photo giving it character. The drop in the trees also give a sense to how the landscape lies in the area. The bicycle also gives emphasis to the story that may be in the reader's mind - stopping to enjoy the moment.
