Are all you guys going daft? Photos of small random features of the environment! Unheard of.
Anyway this is a nice shot. Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

As always your pictures are a lesson to me about composition and color.

Thanks to everybody for your kind words!
Irma: my color post-processing is the result of playing individually with the 3 color channels of the photo. I select the "channels" palette and apply curves to each of the 3 color channels independently. In this mode, you are working with B&W images. I modify the curve of each channel until I like the tone and contrast of each B&W image. When I switch back to the normal 3 channel color view - sometimes the results are extraordinary. Not always - like all techniques - it is trial and error. This doesn't work very well in any photo where realistic color is required.
