Elephant Seals

Went for a drive down the Pacific Coast Highway last Thursday, stopped in San Simeon and shot these on the beach.

I really like that 2nd shot. Awesome! The only time I ever see them here is in the water.

Great captures - I at first thought #1 was all rocks. #2 a jewel of a capture. I know exactly how he feels in #3.

The light was wonderful, just before the sun goes down with light falling on them, but most of the sky was overcast, very soft yet enough sun to give a nice gold cast to everything.
