I like a lot the idea Pat. The colors are nice, I like a lot the colors in the grass. I think you did well with the sky and the color compensate nicely. I think the tree doesn't help much, I find it a bit cluttered.
I am just guessing, but I think a tree with different colors in the leaves like in autumn tree, might help you more to have more variety of colors in the leaves. I haven't tried this, but I have seen wonderful pictures... Keep trying you will master the technique A work of art which did not begin in emotion is not art. Paul Cezanne

Thanks for you comments Irma - this exercise was from a Photoshop CS2 'How to' book and I am looking for examples on the various photography websites for more examples. I agree with you the tree is fussy however it was the only one suitable in our backyard!

Very unusual indeed Pat - it almost looks IR-ish...
