Ferris Wheel
#1

I took this one a couple of days ago: http://500px.com/photo/63879347

I really want to start post processing my photos better, what do you suggest I could do with it?

Hi kNox,

I'd leave it as it is. I really don't think you could improve it, change it yes, but not improve it. It's a classic ferris wheel shot. I for one, would be proud to have taken one as good as that.

Regards.

Phil.

Hey kNox, This photo captures the Ferris wheel beautifully, almost in what looks like 3- D. I agree with Phil, this photo needs nothing!!!! We are all so critical of ourselves. I look at the photos people post and think I have no business posting a pic ever I can't even come close to what I often see in the forums. My mentor told me that each pic is unique, that moment frozen in time that I/we captured and there is no other like it. Sometimes that makes me feel better and sometimes not! Don't be hard on yourself these photos are incredible!!!!! Di

Thanks for the confidence boost, Di! Big Grin Your mentor is totally right, by the way, and I think you should stop being critical of yourself too! Smile

Also, it is best to not use all CAPS in the forums or in the online world as it is viewed as "shouting." Thanks and enjoy the forums!

I think in P/S, or similar, it could be "Improved" and still retain the great character it has. I assume the purple tinge was as taken. Ed.

To each his own!

Composition and balance is beautiful. In the image I saw line edges seem a little jumpy. I don't like the color balance, too blue.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

I like the photograph. I wanted to see it to compare it with some I've taken at the fair, but I wish it were posted on Shuttertalk.com instead of a link that advertises your photo for sale. Just saying!
