It was nicely foggy last Saturday and we went out shooting... It was great!! We went to the lake as I was looking for some sheep I saw there last time. Good that they were not there anymore.... My picture would have worked as it did... They were in a better field with more light... Anyway, I am working some of my pictures with different colors and post processing, these were taken in a parking place ...
Hope you find them interesting...

#3
Unfortunately there was something messing my pictures... I took them all in JPG... Days before I had to change the settings because I had no much room in my card for RAW files and I forgot to set it back...

#3 is just as you would expect it to be, but the road in #1 and #3 looks very blue. I would expect more grey.
But hey, they are better than the ones I have not yet taken.

I wasn't too sure about the blue there, but the thing is that if I left it gray the picture would look to pale... I think the blue gives a bit of interest and matches better with the yellow of the leaves...
Thanks for your comment NT...

Number 1 is very nice Irma - I don't mind the blue. It is not too much for me.

Have I missed something: this pp reminds me of Velvia..?
I like what's happening with colour, Irma: what are you doing here? Dodging highlights to lighten leaves?

My favourite is #1, although I also like the cropping and structured composition of #2. The approaching headlamps in #3 is a nice touch, but I find the gravel in the foreground weakens the mood.

Pat...
Yes, autumn is here and also lots of work in the garden picking up leaves... Eventhough I love the season...
Matt...
Thanks.... I can see what you mean with the dark forground. I tend to leave some dark areas in these foggy pictures to get some contrast, and I am always afraid to get a boring picture...
Zig...
The colors were worked in lightroom. This is a preset I have and makes the whites a bit blue without touching the yellows and oranges. The green looks fresh as well because of the white balance. Also what makes the leaves brighter is that it has a strong vignette to enhance the contrast in this area.
These two are on the other side. The wb is warmer with a tint of magenta. No touching yellows and greens but only orange.
I worked these two this way because the blue wb of the first ones made no contrast in colors with the grass and chairs, and in the wood enhanced the logs.
Unfortunately I don't know much about Velvia, only what Toad has shown in some of his pictures and I really love the colors.
Thanks Zig for your comment...
BTW, I am missing Toad...
