Forks of Credit river waterfall
#1

I have attempted to respond as much as possible to the comments about "natural feel" and about composition. How far did I get?
1/4000sec f/4 ISO 200 50mm 1.4. Fill light and clarity, cropped in Lightroom, local adjustments to brightness and contrast, warming filter (# 85), filtering out some blue.

Comments/critiques as allways welcome. Pavel

The multiple photos that you've posted provide an interesting opportunity for comparisons. I think that the very first photo is the best, because of the composition. Without the other photos for comparison, I might not have concluded that having people in the scene would be a significant plus, but it is. I agree with Matthew's and Dennis's comments on the other photos. This one, showing a less severe crop of the falls, still doesn't provide sufficient interest. I also think that, in this case, the warming effect is a bit overdone. The colors in the first photo may be exaggerated, but I would not back them off quite as much as done here. As far as shutter speed, 1/2 sec was definitely too slow. 1/4 sec does work nicely in some photos, but here, I prefer the appearance given by the very fast speed. Finally, unlike NT, I like the "plastic" look of the water at the top of the falls, before, it abruptly changes to white water.
I hope that this is helpful.

This is very good comment Gary, I agree with all you said (except I am with NT about the plastic top), including the comment about the warming, which is overdone. Pavel
