This is one of the picture that paid me to carry my tripod... all the way to the forest. I am sure my picture doesn't do justice to the place... It was wonderful, and the great colors... but well I tried Smile

Very nice. #1 and #2 are very well composed.

#3 would be even better if there was something in the central foreground to immediately focus on - but the colors and textures are lovely.

All nice shots Irma. Would like to have seen a greater dof in #1. Grass blurred, bg focussed.

Sit, stay, ok, hold it! Awww, no drooling! :O

Toad, you are right about #3, something is missing there.... My second option in composition was from the right of the place and took one tree as subject leaving the place in the background... Unfortunately, when I saw the picture I found the tree more as an obtacle than a subject...

Colin, I just didn't think of giving more creativity to this picture... Next time I will work more with my settings to have more to chose from...

Thanks for your comments and advice. Smile

I received yesterday a mail from the person in charge of the "science webpages" of the German Commission for UNESCO, asking permission to use my picture #1 in this series in their web site.

With the time I have taken more and better pictures of this place, but he liked this one. Anyway, I am very happy... Big Grin

Hey Irma, published at last eh? Well done! Love number 2 it almost looks like a painting, just want to go and wonder around the trees. I can see what you were trying to capture and it works.
