Good concept, I'm curious about your processing. Are the geese laid in from another photo?

I think the top four fifths are great: the noise/"grain" against the light, the framing with the clouds at the top...and I see the birds as in some way "freed" from the telegraph wires(which seems somehow redolent of barbed wire...I like it!) OR as if they're a collection of musical notes set free from the stave.
I'm not deliberately waxing poetical here but because of the strength of these images I'd have liked to see the wires stand out a bit more(and perhaps free from foliage...as Toad would perhaps say, more "minimalistic"). Nice. Actually reminds me a bit of the mono landies of Don McCullen(the very same who used to be an excellent war photographer). All my stuff is here: www.doverow.com (Just click on the TOP RIGHT buttons to take you to my Image Galleries or Music Rooms!) Toad: Youperceptive critic you. Yes they are. I just wasn't lucky enough to catch the birds against that patch of light. Thanks Zig. The print looks really good. I printed it on plain paper to emphasize the grain.
