Hamburg At Night (7 pics)
#1

Yes, we ventured out and took some night shots! Smile

We wanted to do this since long ago, but I never really got round to it - I had some (irrational?) worries about walking in dark alleys with expensive gear. Today, a photographer friend called and we went together. With four people it seemed not so scary anymore.

Wow, This set is really something. It was worth the effort. Love the image you've taken here!

The translation helps also. I knew spiegel but not zoll.Wink
I rather like the way the river looks like a sheet of ice, and the colours you have obtained.

Looks like a beautiful city, G.
I particularly like #2. Those lights are really inviting you to travel up that river.
The last two shots also really grab me. Cool

Thanks a lot! Smile

Taking these shots was actually a mixed experience. It began to rain soon after we arrived, and at this point I wished I had stayed at home. Especially as I thought my camera was broken. I had forgotten that I had the mirror lockup activated... Rolleyes But then the rain stopped, the camera worked fine again, and the rest of the shooting was nice. And so was the dinner at an Italian restaurant. Nothing better to warm up than a pizza or, in my case, "Salciccia Abruzzese" - Italian sausages, tomato sauce with olives and herbs, potatoes and spinach. Washed down with a Montepulciano. Mmmm, delicious... Smile
