For G and Irma. I know you both have been on a flower kick lately. This is from the heather growing in our landscape in front of our house. I might also add that it was taken with my newly acquired 28-200mm. Smile

Thanks Colin, that's a beauty! Congrats on your new glass, too! Smile

I've been a bit distracted from photography lately, what with being back at work (and not liking it much), and Harry Potter 6 out (I already finished it though). I'm having a creative break, I hope. Smile

I understand G. Life must take over at some point.

Schell, it is type of ground cover bush I believe. Thanks for your comments. Smile

Thanks Colin Smile This picture is really lovely!
I have to admit I saw it in the morning... while drinking my coffee and it was great to see so beautiful colors in the morning ... I like very much the background... the echo of the flower in the background as you have here is something that adds very much to the picture... It gives context, to be part of something, a garden so to say... Also I admire the white color... sometimes it is very difficult to get it right and here is perfect... you can see the detail nicely...

This is the first time I see this flower and I like it very much... Does it grow in a bush?

Your new lens is giving you beautiful pictures, I am happy for that Smile

Note_

I just read your explanation about the bush Smile

Thank you Irma. I'll get a shot and post it of what the plant really looks like full sized.

Woohoo! Great DOF with the first one... very nice!

So how does it feel? Do you think you'll be leaving the rest of your lenses at home more often now?
