How do you attach photos to your post?

Instructions on how to do this would be appreciated. Smile

Thanks for the question. I'll work on putting up a FAQ. But for now, here's a rough guide:

1. If your photo is already on the web somewhere (e.g. www.photobucket.com), then you're off to a great start.

Otherwise, if you're a forum member, you can upload images (100KB max) by pressing the upload button when posting. Just make sure to resize your photos to a reasonable size (e.g. 640x480) so that it doesn't take too long for other people to download and view.

Once the upload is finished, you'll be presented with a URL.

2. Get the full URL to your photo (including the http:// bit). e.g. http://img3.photobucket.com/albums/v13/d...r/1274.jpg

3. When posting, click on the Img BBcode button and enter the URL. Or you can create your own BBcode like so:

Code:
[img]http://img3.photobucket.com/albums/v13/demouser/1241.jpg[/img]

And voila! Your image is now linked!

Ok here is one. This one was taken quite accidentally but it turned out to be a good photo nonetheless. The shutter was open long enough for the trails of lights to occur

The photobucket site is good, but I have to reduce the size by a lot before loading it there. Totally wrecked the photo's quality

Hey everyone, due to popular demand, I've allowed uploading of photos. I'm restricting the size to 100KB only though, because my hosting space and bandwith is not unlimited... (some donations may influence this though Big Grin)

Another thing - just make sure your photos aren't too large (in terms of dimensions) otherwise it'll take users ages to download. I recommend 640x480 or 800x600.

Another good format is:

"url=http://photography.mysticktech.com/albums/userpics/10001/CoralSands.JPG][img] http://photography.mysticktech.com/album...lSands.JPG[/img][/url]"

Note: You need to add a [ to the start before URL to make it work
which results in:

Canon EOS 350D Digital Camera , 2gig Scandisk Ultra II CF Card, EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens, EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 Lens, EF 28mm f2.8 Lens Wide Angle, Macro 58mm Lens kit (1+ 2+ 4+ 10+), Hoya 58mm PL-CIR Polariser, Optek PT3900 Pro Series Tripod
