Wow, you did a great job... the shadows make it look really convincing
Nov 4, 2004, 19:40
Ah bah! I thought you actually used the sun for the effect!
But nice job and very convincing nonetheless...

Very nice. I like the effect. I do think it is a tad over powering. My eyes are drawn away from the forrest floor to the flare. Maybe if you reduced the sunflare.

Hmm, I tried the reduction but it doesn't do for me... If I dim the sun flare, it loses credibility. Had the sun been there in reality, it would have been even stronger, IMO. Anyway, for future experiments, I think I will resort to more subtle effects.

The thing I really like about the photos is the shadows cast by the trees. To me that makes the shot. That is the first thing I looked at and everytime I look at the image, the shadows are what gets my attention. I just find that the flare draws my attention away from the shadows on the forest floor. A bit of a distraction. What did you use to get the shadow effect?

The second picture in the series should be of an alien spaceship landing!
Then aliens coming out! but you revealed that it was fake! Good job though hehe gear: camera and stuff http://adamloh.com http://www.flickr.com/photos/adamadam http://peopleeating.blogspot.com

Petographer Wrote:What did you use to get the shadow effect? Mystical Lighting for everything including the sun flare. It's a PS plugin. A lot of different lighting effects, you can actually paint with light.

The sun flare is working pretty well on your photo, Guerito. That is a surprisingly useful filter at times considering how much we try to eliminate sun flare tradiitionally.
