but - Be Careful! some police forces don't like pics of their members being taken - given the ongoing terrorist stuff, some of them try to impose (unwritten) rules on photographers - check out the rules so at least you'll be fore-armed

Some police officers will argue the point. I just hand them my copy, then they start trying to find something else to pull you for.
