I took several shots of this tiny spider (about 5mm). He was happy to sit on a piece of white paper on my table before I let him go in the garden. I was taken with my Pentax DS, two stacked teleconverters and an older sigma 28-80 lens with a macro setting (on board flash only...)
I processed these two similar shots a bit differently and I would love some feedback about which you prefer. The shots were fairly soft due to low light and it was difficult to get a nice level of contrast (I think I took it too far..) 1. ![]() 2. ![]() Thanks for looking. Tell me what you think. Feel free to play with different processing... |

The first one is more realistic, but both are good, showing the eyes.
Now if you will excuse me I must fly.

Thanks for the comments - I think I prefer the composition of the second shot but I'm not happy with grey backgound...
