I love the ring in the water just off the beak. It adds a nice emphasis to the chick's expression.

I wish I could get mine sharp like that, but I don't think I normally have enough light, to suit f 5.6 at full telephoto.
Lumix LX5. Canon 350 D.+ 18-55 Kit lens + Tamron 70-300 macro. + Canon 50mm f1.8 + Manfrotto tripod, in bag. |

The image is not that sharp, or not sharp where it's supposed to be sharp.

I'd be a bit more forgiving here: I know its point of focus is its "derriere"...but honestly the result is like a "faux motion blur" at the front end, which adds dynamism for me: nice one John!
