Brilliant. I must give it a try.

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".

You did this in a very subtle way. Many people do it at night. Neat shots.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

Those are really nice, both lighting and composition! Please try adjusting levels and notice the difference (pull up the white end and mids).

not sure how to answer this one, all the other comments contain praise for a good couple of images in my style, so I ask myself are you seeing somethng different to myself and the others? could it be your monitor needs calibrating? these images are as I intended then to be.
