there is some issue with you conversion/resizing though, I would say, they shouldn't have to look so
pixeled. What method are you using?

Yes, I too like the actual movement and the movement suggested by the lines of the land. Could you swap skies from the first one?

Both are very beautiful - perhaps losing some of the black at the bottom of the first image would make it even better.
