Missile Barrage™
My favorite retail fireworks when I was young, I let other people at the New Year party shoot them off while I had fun with camera and flash instead.
Here's another version: I used flash angled up a little to feather the light on the ground, with a 2nd handheld flash to light the smoke in the first photo partway through the exposure. Combined that with a very long shutter to get all 25 missiles firing in sequence plus a little added light in the sky. We were very far from the city on a cold and windy night that saw a few hundred grassfires caused by careless fireworks, but I was put in charge of safety so we didn't have any accidents. Great idea to get the smoke with flash - I would never have thought of that. I also like the ghost people in #2. Very creatÃve idea to use flash with fireworks!
