I bought myself a new laptop, as I had to return my work one.

Picked up a HP Pavilion dv1000 and I must say that I'm blown away with the features, build quality and aesthetics! It's got a 14" widescreen, Pentium M 1.8G, half a gig of memory, 80G HDD, memory card readers, dual layer DVD burner and get this -- a remote control!

It has this instant on mode where you can play DVDs and CDs without having to boot into windows, and the remote control comes in handy.

Looks absolutely gorgeous too! The pic on the site doesn't do it justice... Big Grin

Very nice. Similar to my Toshiba. You got more features though. I wish I had of waited a few more months and mine would have had the dual layer dvd also. Sad
