Spotted this on dpreview - apparently Olympus in Japan are selling the E-PL1 with a new version of the 14-42 kit lens. It is smaller, lighter and more importantly, uses a new internal focusing design which is quicker and quieter. Apparently it adds the ability of shooting at ISO 6400.

Reworked lens changes are primarily to optimize it for video. I think we can safely write ISO 6400 off on m43 cameras as unuseable - without having to wait for dpreview's analysis..
