Orton(ought not)
#1

Finally found out what the Orton technique is, or at least something like its digital equivalent. Here's a go.... The wrong subject I feel, though I reckon a couple of nice things happened to some textures. I'm guessing there are several ways to achieve this effect digitally...but again, I'm not sure I'm up to all the messing about finding out. As an afterthought, I'm quite attracted to the idea of desaturating an "Ortoned" pic given the right subject. Do any of you regularly Orton stuff?[Image: harvest%20tree_orton_web.jpg]

Hi Zig,

I'm not good at using PS. I came across this link a while ago and tried it, but I don't really think my results were that good. Like you say it depends on the subject.
