Pirates movie shot with 1 million stills from Canon 1D Mk III
Here's a great article about British animation house Aardman, who used 50 Canon 1D Mark III cameras to make a Pirates movie. The movie itself was made using a combination of CGI and over 1 million stills from the DSLRs for stop motion animation.
http://m.techradar.com/news/photography-...rs-1077371 They go into why they chose the 1D Mark III and also talk about modifications they had to do to make the lenses more like cine versions. Minigizmo - Gadget News and Reviews BookHoot - Ebook News |
