Practicing Digital Photography: Using Natural Light at Different Times of the Day
#1

Practicing digital photography on a specific object at different times of the day will allow the user to learn to take better photographs over time. Why? Understanding light is one of the foundational concepts in learning photography.

Here is your challenge for this assignment:

Choose an object that can be photographed at different times of the day. Take photos of the object at different times of the day. Of course, this will be an object probably outdoors unless you have a sun roof. For example, you can take a photograph in the morning hours, around noon time, as well as in the evening. Make sure that you have allowed enough lapse time between photo sessions.

Another option is to take the photo in the full light of the day, and then on a cloudy day. Compare the images and make valuable comments.

Post your images along with the following info: time of day taken, camera settings used, as well as any other information which will be valuable to the reader.

Please post actual images without any post processing.

Were you able to increase the quality of the image by changing the time of day you took the photo?

Did you photograph give you a more dramatic effect as compared to the others?

Happy shooting! Rolleyes
