Thanks all; as you say John 'not a place for sufferers of vertigo' and perhaps sometimes tempting I think only a fool would venture further than the fence line.
kNox - I agree there are some superb vistas to be seen from helicopters. Great examples in some of the nature and exploration programs on television.
