This was taken at home in Raiatea. It is from one of the drainage canals on Apooiti Point at the Sunset Beach Motel, one of my favorite places in the islands. I really like the idea, but it seems not to have the "pop" or "pazazz" I was looking for. I would love to see what someone might do to bring it out.

I am just wondering if you had more of the top part in your original picture?
the reflections are nice, but I would like to see both the trees and their reflection.

I would personally probably also try to fill in some of the deepest shadows a little bit and work on the curves
to separate the greens of foliage more from the color of the water surface....

do you have an original for us to see?

The problem I see in your picture is about color. There is no contrasting color to play with.
I tried a bw conversion but it doesn't work.
Sorry I don't have any other idea to share about this picture.
