Sharpness is not everything. Several of my shots are deliberately soft (see here)

It is hard to compete for eyeballs with a comely princess with exposed boobs. Here is something for those of you that can look at the boobs and still have time for landscapes

The other reason to show you these is to show how important weather is to the impact of the landscape photos. 3 of the 5 were taken of the same hill from the same spot. Weather (and processing differences) are the only significant variables.

Love the mood in these shots Smile wish we had something like that around here! might motivate me to get out and do some photography!

Bob, the distance for you is not that different from a distance for me to get there. Although I doubt you would get a direct flight to Deer Lake. There are some pretty areas around St. John or else you need to transfer or rent a car and drive across.
