Nice photos Paul. Are you using a digital back ground or is that the bedroom wall? Can you please tell what you did?

Sit, stay, ok, hold it! Awww, no drooling! :O

Thnx Colin.

These shots where taken in our bedroom, the bg is the wallpaper so no studio props where used.

Lightning is one strobe with a black/silver umbrella (83 cm)

nothing more really :-)

I know most people prefer lighter/brighter bg and not so dramatic lightning for babies. But i wanted deeper shadows and fall off.

you think the lightning i was aiming for worked in this case ?

I like a lot the color of the background... The colors in general are great Smile

Always so nice to see pictures of your children. Amy is beautiful Smile

For sure. I think you did well with the lighting. That's why I had asked. I was wondering if the hotspot was created in photoshop or if it was actaul lighting.

The hot spot is amplified by darkening the corners in post. (to make the wallpaper a bit more subtle)

But the fall off (on the left side of her face) and the deeper shadows that makes her face more 3d is all lightning.

The strobe was positoned about 1 meter above her.

Glad you liked them.
