In my garden tonight. Taken with a canon 600d, f8 1/60 sec. ISO400 420mm flash used.

Didn't know if this counted as an animal, but put in on anyway.

Regards
Jane

OK here goes for my first competition entries

Canon 50D, EF300mm f/4L IS, ISO 400, 1/1000 at f/5.6

Red Kites were re-introduced to the Chiltern Hills about 6 or 7 years ago and are now a common sight around my home.

Canon EOS 50D, EF300mm f/4L IS, ISO 400, 1/2500 at f/4

Grey squirrels here in Wycombe are so prolific they are considered by some as vermin, but they are very photogenic.

Canon EOS 5D, EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L IS, ISO 1250, 200mm 1/500 at f/5.6

While photographing the squirrels this little chap came along and frightened them all away.

So there are my entries: a bird, a wild mammal and a pet dog.

May I offer these two shots for the competition: a sea lion training her cub and evoking a suitably aggressive response; and land iguana who, unusually for that species, seemed wonderfully curious about us. Regards, Jeff

Taken with Canon EOS 600D, f5.6, 1/250sec. ISO400, 250mm. Someone had put some bird food down and there were a few of these Turnstones running about.
