Guidelines:

Submit up to three photos of digital photographs of some of your best photo shots.

Images must be posted here in this forum thread and be owned legally by the contributing member. Please also submit information about where the photo was taken along with some brief details.

Digital photography entries should be family friendly and be taken within the last 90 days from the date of entry into the contest. A small amount of post processing is preferred. The photograph should be interesting and draw the individual into the scene and have few distractions.

Judging

Judging will consider different criteria including, but not limited to, creativity, relevance to category, and photo quality. Judging will occur when the contest ends and results will be posted in the forums as soon as possible.

Winning Multiple Times During Monthly Contests - NEW

A member can be chosen as the winner twice within a six month period. This will even the "playing field" to some degree to allow other members the ability to enter their high quality photographs and have the opportunity to also be chosen as the winner during a new monthly contest theme.

Please refrain from commenting on other's posts in this thread until the contest end date.

    This shot was taken on a days hill walking on the Isle of Arran on the scottish west coast. it shows Glen Sannox with the summit of cir Mohr and the ridge known as the Saddle shot on my Canon EOS 600D with the 18-55mm kit lens set at 18mm with a circular polarising filter to take out some of the suns glare. 1/100at f8

This is a picture I took at Hartland in Devon using a Canon 400D, Lens EFS35-80 f?4-5.6 with an ND8 filter. Shot at f16 ISO 100, I'm not sure of the exposure time but I think it was around 2 seconds.

I took this at a bike show in Bristol England. The look of pride in the bikers face towards his dog is what compelled me to take the picture.
Canon 70d. 18-55 lens, f5.6. 1/500 sec. Some work in photoshop to bring up detail.

I took this on September 30th 2014 at BMO field in Toronto. The Toronto FC vs the Philadelphia Union. Shot with a Sony A7, F4, 1/1000th of a second, lens was a 70-200 f4 G lens

    This shot was taken at Seamill on the Ayrshire coast at about 8:30pm. it shows the view across the firth of Cyde with the Isle of Arran n the background. I have tried to find out what the wooden pillars in the sand were but no one seems to know.
Shot on my Canon EOS 600D with the standard 18-55mm Kit lens set to 18mm. 1/4sec at f/22 ISO100
