Love number 1 I was working on something similar the other day trying different shutter speeds. Number 2 does not work for me too much distraction in the forground.

Agree, #1 is simpler. I just like the extra complexity of #2. But that is today. Tomorrow I may feel different. Thanks. Pavel

need a slower shutterspeed. crank up the fstop to as high as possible and use ND filters. or shoot late in the evening. it kind of looks like hair.

Thank Rabid, That was the general idea - hair, not cotton candy. I do not find cotton candy appealing. I did use ND filters and 1/2 sec or slower would have given me what you are looking for. This is 1/4 sec. Pavel
