Books always my best in my life... So while searching a book, I found this. It is amazing. Paper cut design/art! Noriko Ambe, her works are amazing. Books seem that was the inspirarion for her. But I also remembered the name, from Denmark, Peter Callesen's works are so beautiful too. I love his compositions in this field. And it is unbelievable they are all paper cut (paper work)! In my culture, I mean in our traditional art, there is paper cut too, it's coming from Ottoman art, she is one of the artists about this traditional art, Feyza Oyat

Aristide Maillol's works are great. But I just want to make a point about the difference between these photos. How impressive the second one with the reflection on the water face...

The River - Museum of Modern Art, New York City

The River by French sculpture Aristide Maillol.
* Maillol, (1861 -1944) The River is considered Maillol's last masterpiece. In 1938 the artist received the commission for a monument in memory of the pacifist Henri Barbusse. He produced a monumental figure to symbolise the abolition of war. Ironically enough, it was precisely the war that putted an end to the project. Nevertheless, Maillol didn't abandon the statue which he managed to achieve, with a new title, before his death in 1944.

Wow! It's great to see some art in here. Lovely examples. The butterfly paper cutout is really fine.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/
