I do not normally like "cluttered" pictures, but this one I like very much and I wish I could see it larger. The picture seems to invite me to explore, to find hidden detail, to look around corners... There seems to be an underlaying order in all these lines and shadows. And, it's a library and I love books. This is a picture I'd like to have on my wall.

Very beautiful picture indeed...
I like a lot to see how lights and shadows can transform a place. I bet it look so different at any other time of the day... or maybe in a cloudy day...
Your picture would work nicely as a puzzle... Wink

I second guerito here to a large degree. I think there is something very dynamic, inviting and intriguing in terms of the real and drawn figures, along with the almost surreal resultant treatment of the humans!
Also, the lines of both the frames and the gallery/bibliotheque itself lead the eye from person to person.
I like this very much Don..so I hope you forgive me for tampering with it:
I've cropped considerably so as to concentrate on the interplay(or otherwise) of the human figures...also going for a mono conversion so that the eye is not drawn away by colour but attracted by shape and theme.
Of course, I'm imposing my own eye and treatment on your work, yet I feel that subdued lighting(or non-contrasty) would allow the eye to travel unbroken along the lines and explore connections of shape.
I've taken the added liberty of straightening the "horizon", cloning out some (arguably) distracting highlights....also I've dodged and burnt areas that I felt to be of decisive interest.
I would have loved to have photographed this, to be honest, with my "mono" head on my shoulders, my Pentax 67 and a roll of Agfapan 25! Yep, one for the wall!

Thanks ver much. It's the place that's entrancing. The photo is a pale reflection. We have a lovely downtown library. Zig, I do like your crop very much, although I prefer the color on this one.

Very interesting capture, Don - do much to look at. A very small quibble - I find the tilt on the horizon distracting on this one - makes it feel to much like a quick grab-shot rather than what I think you are going for here.

Great stuff.

It was a quick grab shot using my little HP camera. I was about to sit at a karel to use my lap top.
