Stupid math problems...

Came across this in one of those 'send this to 5 friends and the answer will appear' e-mails... Will someone PLEASE tell where the dollar went!!!

Quote:3 men go into a motel. The desk clerk said the room was $30, so each man paid $10 and went to the room. A while later, the desk clerk realized the room was only $25, so he sent the bellboy to the 3 guys' room with $5.
On the way, the bellboy couldn't figure out how to split $5 evenly between 3 men, so he gave each man $1 and kept the other $2 for himself. This meant that the 3 men each paid $9 for the room, which is a total of $27. Add to that the $2 the bellboy kept and the total is $29. Where is the other dollar?

heres how it goes ..

so they each pay 9dollars ..
thats 27 bucks right ?
and the room cost 25...

hence .. 27 - 25 = 2 dollars ... which the bell boy got ..
the number 27 and the 2 is just a distraction to confuse you making you think that it should add up to 30 ..

the dollar didnt go anywhere..
it was never there to begin with ..

or heres another way to put it ...
start with 30 ...
Hotel Takes 25...
Bellboy Takes 2 ...
3 men take 3 ...
25+3+2 is 30 .. so it all adds up ..

im not a touch typer ..
so im more prone to errors when im typing on the fly ...

Hehe we had typing lessons in high school... like on actual typewriters. Since then, I've been a touch typist
