The Old One
#1

So...I walked by the sheep. She looked kinda old, not so much tired, just old and happy. On my way back, I walked by her again. She looked at me for the moment before returning to her own thoughts, and I was totally amazed with her attitude. It was all like - can't you see I'm old and I'm enjoying my peace?

I have to say, she really showed great patience for me and my compact Smile

Nice - what type of camera and specs did you use on this photo?

I love to see the texture in the wood of the building and the contrasting texture seen in the wool of the sheep.

Nice clean blacks. Strong texture. I think the photo is very effective.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

It's a really nice shot. Maybe you could turn it into a project, like this one? http://www.oitzarisme.ro/2011/03/04/isa-...y-animals/
I like the horizontal lit line in the background, it makes me think of a closing, sleepy eye lid.

@vlad - I checked the link, and have to say...WOW. That is stunning gallery, showing way more than just an old animals. Thank you for sharing it!
To be honest, with my work and everyday duties, time is not my best friend..but, still, the idea is very tempting, so who knows...
