What's the difference between PhotoShop CS5 and PhotoShopCS5 Extended?
I am still plugging away with the original PhotoShop CS - but its time to upgrade. I see enough new features in CS5 to make the purchase worthwhile.

However, when I look at Adobe's website, I see 2 versions: PhotoShop CS5 and CS5 extended. There is a bunch of gobbledy-gook about how Extended is good for different groups of *professionals* and some other yadda yadda about motion content, but I can't find an actual list of the difference in features between the 2 versions anywhere.

Anybody out there that can tell me what Extended has that the normal version does not? Any info appreciated.

Actually that was the double speak to which I was referring - it isn't terribly clear to me what is in and what is out. I was hoping for a straight list in text. Somebody online must have prepared one. Thanks anyway, P

I don't know if this is what you are referring to, or if you have already seen it.
I just had a quick look and there are a lot of links, above and at the side etc. Just float the mouse around a bit. Tongue

Thanks everyone - I have decided to get "extended". Some of the 3D stuff like Repousse look interesting enough to me to rationalize the extra $.

As an aside, I think nothing of spending a huge amount of money on photo hardware, and even when most of my photo "magic" happens in PhotoShop, I find myself debating spending a few dollars more to get the top of the line software every 5 years or so. Go figure.
