I'm not posting this photo for it's quality or anything but still feel free to critique. I saw this bird once last year. Then I saw it a couple weeks ago. I had never seen anything like it before. I was pretty excited and swore that I wold make sure I take my camera with me when I go by the area again that I saw it in. Which by the way is only around the corner. On Sunday I lucked out and pulled over and managed a few shots before it flew away.

Cool! Interesting looking bird! Sometimes I wish I had a visual encyclopedia with me when I visit the outdoors. I can never remember or recognise what the animals / plants are.

I got a reply from one of the local papers today. The Editor said he believes he has room and that he would print the photos with my story. He said I'd get the credit but said sorry he couldn't pay. Gee, I wasn't wanting money. Didn't even cross my mind. I just wanted to share thinking that maybe it was unique enough to make it into the paper. The thought of a little exposure crossed my mind for a sec though.
