Great atmosphere and processing. Is that your favorite tree down there in the lower center? Great stitching too.

Very nice. I love the subtlety.
Since there's nothing in the immediate foreground, do you still need to use a panoramic tripod and get the nodal point right?

Just spotted the Severn. I thought it was Silbury Hill but obviously not. Nearer Gloucester I guess.
A great pano. Now I know what PTgui does.

ta gang...Toad, well remembered: THE tree is not in shot but it IS further around the same hill; matthew, as I've no idea what a nodal point is, I'll say no...I just use my old chunky Manfrotto with a "normal" 3-way head; yes NT, Gloucester about 2 inches to the right of shot, well-sussed my man; Chris, thanks: as I'm always messing about dodging and stuff, I do start off as a lowish-contrast and saturation conversion. Mercifully I've forgotten the size of the tiff it all boiled down to...it took about a half-hour to render too. Thank you all.

Gorgeous picture Zig! I have never tried to stitch pictures like this. It must be difficult, I always think.
I love the richness of colors...
Your landscape is so beautiful...
is this part or has something to do with the Wye Valley? A very close friend of mine is living there...

Ahh Irma! You see the far horizon? Well, the Wye valley is to the left and behind that far ridge!
